There’s a real summertime vibe in Honeybee Cloths right now. These lovely new materials have us dreaming of the seaside – mermaids, sea-grass, surf, fish, anchors, sandy beaches, in lovely fresh and vibrant colours. You can almost smell the salty sea air 🙂
So many beautiful things you could make from Annie Brady’s Fish Tales 5″ charm pack, here’s just one of many ideas….

Moda Bakeshops summertime quilt-along is also “At the seaside“, if you haven’t popped by yet, do – there’s lots of lovely free patterns, and a fun and supportive community to join in.
Or anyone for a spot of skinny dippin’? Feel free to dip into Honeybee Cloths patterns from 2015’s Skinny Dippin’ quilt-along, including beach hut blocks, sailing boats, bright and breezy windmills and whales.
If you joined us Skinny dippin’ sewing in 2015, we’d really love to see the blocks and quilts you made, please use #SkinnyDippinQuiltalong2015 on Instagram or Facebook, so we can pick up on them.
And so to my holiday plans this year, and a Day in Paris – I’m really looking forward to spending some time with Zen Chic’s Day in Paris fabric, making the first two beautiful blocks that Michelle from Creative Blonde has designed for our Quilt and Shine quilt-along.
You can find Michelle’s tutorials for both Block 1 and 2, over on Creative Blonde blog. The Day in Paris fabrics Michelle is using are available in Honeybee Cloths.
Next months bonus block is beside my sewing machine right now, and will be along in a few weeks time. Before then though, there’s a Giveway coming up, more to follow soon 🙂
Till next time, happy sewing
